Clothing Haul

I've been shoppiiiiiing :) It's true what they say, money really does burn a hole in your pocket...well it certainly does for me anyway! I accumulated some birthday moola last week and I've been absolutely itching to splash out on some new things. So here's a look-see at what I picked up.
First on the list, these amazing chunky heel ankle boots from OFFICE. I've been on the hunt for a pair of black boots to wear as an alternative to my Docs (which never seem to leave my feet!) for the longest time now, and these ones most definitely fit the bill. They cost €124 at full price, but the sales assistant very kindly gave me my student discount even though I didn't have my student card, bringing the price right down to €105.
*Ramble alert* I lost my purse at the beginning of the summer and it's been so frustrating not having my student card. Although I've asked on several occasions if I could still have my discount in various shops, they pretty much all refused. I almost felt cheeky asking for a discount on such an expensive purchase in OFFICE, but it just goes to show, if you don't ask you don't receive! So thank you generous sales girl, thank you very much :) *Ramble over*
I actually bought a pair of Jeffrey Campbell Coltrane look-a-likes from River Island on the same day, but returned them after seeing my new beauties. They only worked out €40 dearer, and were far superior in quality (the River Island ones had that yocky plastic look about them). Also, I'm much more of a silver hardware kinda gal, so they are just perfect for me....Queue the music!

Second up, is this super cool vintage shirt I picked up from a shop in Georges Arcade in Dublin. I can't remember the name of the shop, but they've got some great, inexpensive pieces- basically all the same kind of things you find in the Urban Renewal section of Urban Outfitters, but for half the price! Plus, the staff are really, really friendly. The gorgeous colours in this shirt caught my eye immediately, and when the sales assistant commented on how Fresh Prince-esque it was, I knew I needed it haha! It only cost €15, and I can just tell it's going to be one of those wardrobe essentials that I throw on with absolutely everything.
This basic cami from Forever 21 is such a great staple to have. I've got one in black and grey too, but I'm kicking myself for not picking up more as they only cost 2 frickin euro! They're great quality, look super flattering on, and can be dressed up and down.
Next I hit up H&M, where a nabbed this incredible printed jumpsuit on sale for just €10. I don't own any wide legged pants, so I'm looking forward to trying out different ways of styling this.
I also got these cute little beanies for €4.95 each from the mens section of H&M. Hats are such a must-have for me during those rushed college mornings when I don't have time to do my hair!
Just a slightly random note to say that I highly recommend picking up H&M's magazine if you spot it in store. It has some great content, and it's free!
For those of you with no interest in art, this is going to be completely irrelevant...but for those of you who do, I thought I'd mention that Easons have some fantastic offers on their art supplies at the moment. I'm sure many of you know how expensive art materials can be, but I managed to pick up all these things for just €20 which I was thrilled about! A lot of the fashion girls use watercolours for their illustrations, so having never tried them out, I thought now was a good opportunity :) Acrylic paints can be very useful for dying fabric, and I go through a tube of pritt stick about once a week with the amount of collage work I have to do!
So that's it for my haul- I'm trying to resist buying any more clothes and putting all my money towards college...but who knows, it's a whole week before I start back- plenty of time for temptation to sway me haha.
